Brief
After working with the SDLS for over 12 months to re-design their members magazine now known far and wide as “The Legal” we were invited to pitch to re-design and develop their website. Entering into a 3 way pitch in which the SDLS’s preference was to use a company local to Sheffield we weren’t too expectant to win the job however our good design work on The Legal coupled with our attention to detail stood us in good stead and we were duely appointed to carry out the work.
Solution
The current website:
The current was obviously produced a long time ago and lacked the basics. A poor organisation of information and uninspiring design lead to a poor user experience. The website had no feature of the now popular members magazine and the content was tired.
New website:
Worked with SDLS to improve the user journey through the site and helped to arrange the content in a manor so the user can find what they want as quickly as they want.
The majority the website can be updated by the SDLS through a powerful CMS system. The CMS will allow the SDLS to keep their online content fresh and up to date for their users.

Call to actions
We asked the SDLS what the most important area of the website were that they wanted to push. These were 88888, 888888, 8888888 and 888888. You’ll see that we designed in 4 call to action buttons that feature of every page throughout the site to really promote these areas of important and the call to action buttons will help drive website traffic towards these important areas.
Visual Impact:
In re-designing the Legal we saw a real need to improve the visual aspect of the site. There was a massive lack of imagery and the same applied to the SDSL website. The home page now has a 4 image rotating image banner giving the website a much needed injection of energy and imagery.
